Coffee County Central extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 15-15 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Columbia Central Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

Coffee County Central got a good showing from Isaiah Deadman, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. What's more, Deadman gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Cole Pippenger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
