Softball Game Preview: Timberlake Tigers vs. Colville Crimson Hawks

Timberlake has gone a perfect 3-0 against Colville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Timberlake Tigers will take on the Colville Crimson Hawks at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Tigers fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Valley on Friday, sneaking past 5-3.

Shae Jones made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Prestyn Gardner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Marissa Needs was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Colville earned a 15-12 win over East Valley on Monday. The Crimson Hawks haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Timberlake took their win against Colville in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 13-2. Will Timberlake repeat their success, or does Colville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
