Soccer Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central on Thursday, Westview came back down to earth. The Chargers lost 6-1 to the Madison Mustangs on Friday. Westview have struggled against Madison recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Westview's goal came courtesy of Miguel Berrocal, who's now up to seven this season.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Westview will be playing at home against Huntingdon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westview are facing Huntingdon at the right time seeing as Huntingdon are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to challenge Gibson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison's defense better be ready for this one: Gibson County have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season.
