Football Game Preview: Houston County Fighting Irish vs. Cornersville Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Houston County Fighting Irish will challenge the Cornersville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Houston County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-20 to McEwen. The Fighting Irish haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Houston County might have lost, but man, Preston Mitchell was a machine: he rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Mitchell showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.

Meanwhile, Cornersville had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of Eagleville. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cornersville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Houston County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
