Baseball Recap: Indianapolis Lutheran Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Indianapolis Lutheran lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Triton Central, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Saints put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-1 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Redding spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hudson Mills was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Nate Hughes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Indianapolis Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Triton Central, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 15-5.
