Volleyball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Red Devils vs. Proviso West Panthers + How To Watch

Hinsdale Central is a perfect 7-0 against Proviso West since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Devils will welcome the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Hinsdale Central has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Hinsdale Central turned things around against Timothy Christian on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Trojans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since September 4th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hinsdale Central who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Proviso West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Oak Park-River Forest.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10.

Proviso West's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Hinsdale Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.

Hinsdale Central was able to grind out a solid win over Proviso West in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
