Baseball Recap: Wall Township Comes Up Short

Wall Township suffered their closest loss since April 3rd on Saturday. They fell just short of the Monmouth Regional Falcons by a score of 3-1. The Crimson Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Wall Township and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Monmouth Regional, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Wall Township will square off against Point Pleasant Beach at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monmouth Regional, they will head out on the road to challenge Brick Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
