Basketball Recap: Kobe King's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bensalem over Wissahickon

Bensalem was the 63-55 winner over Wissahickon when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bensalem Fighting Owls took a 57-38 bruising from the Wissahickon Trojans on Saturday. The matchup marked the Fighting Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Fighting Owls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kobe King, who posted four points and nine boards. Trevor Morris was another key player, putting up seven points.

Even though they lost, Bensalem smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Bensalem's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wissahickon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Bensalem will challenge Upper Dublin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Dublin will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Bensalem surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wissahickon, they will square off against Council Rock South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
