Baseball Recap: Stillman Valley Find Success

The third road matchup was the charm for Stillman Valley, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Pearl City Wolves on Saturday.

Jaxon Barrett was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Jackson Musial was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Stillman Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Pearl City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Stillman Valley will be playing at home against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pearl City, they will challenge Aurora Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pearl City's pitchers better be ready for this one: Aurora Christian has averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
