Softball Recap: Chowchilla Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Chowchilla won the last time they faced Riverdale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tribe blew past the Cowboys 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Tribe, who have now won 12 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Avery Tomlinson was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jenna Oberti, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Chowchilla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.

Chowchilla has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Riverdale, they dropped their record down to 11-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Chowchilla nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
