Baseball Recap: Las Animas Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Las Animas can now relate to. They came up short against the Highland Huskies on Saturday, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Kree Wallace was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Nicholas Duran was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.

Las Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.

Las Animas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they will head out on the road to face off against Peyton at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
