Baseball Recap: Andrews' Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Andrews took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hiwassee Dam, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats came out on top against the Eagles on Tuesday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered an 8-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Logan Hyde was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Dawson Stalcup was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Logan Shular was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
