Eastern Alamance has gone 8-1 against Cedar Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eastern Alamance Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. The last seven games Eastern Alamance has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, Eastern Alamance didn't have quite enough to beat East Wilkes and fell 11-10. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Olivia Foster and Edie Stewart did some serious damage despite the final result: Foster went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double, while Stewart went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Foster a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Rachel Byrd, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, everything went Cedar Ridge's way against Chapel Hill on Wednesday as Cedar Ridge made off with a 16-1 win.

Mia Best was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Best was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Raegan Remaly, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Reagan Simmons was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Eastern Alamance now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cedar Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Eastern Alamance came out on top in a nail-biter against Cedar Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Alamance since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
