Softball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller lost against Flour Bluff back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buccaneers came up short against the Hornets, falling 16-3. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaselle Salinas, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Flour Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Miller is set to challenge their familiar foe Gregory-Portland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Flour Bluff will face off against rival Alice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
