Basketball Recap: Hostos Lincoln Academy Takes a Loss

Hostos Lincoln Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the KIPP NYC College Prep Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-77 back in December of 2024.

Hostos Lincoln Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for KIPP NYC College Prep, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hostos Lincoln Academy will face off against South Bronx at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for KIPP NYC College Prep, they will square off against Bronx United at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in KIPP NYC College Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
