Softball Recap: East Hall Vikings vs. Pickens Dragons        
        
		
                                                         East Hall lost against Pickens last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The East Hall Vikings lost  12-4 to the Pickens Dragons. The Vikings have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Amari Burce was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple, and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaylana Curry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple, and a  double.  Elaina Hendrix also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  hit of the season.
 Even though they lost, East Hall was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in August of 2023.
 East Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pickens, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 East Hall will be playing in front of their home fans against Banks County  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Banks County's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7  runs per game  this season, so East Hall's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pickens, they will challenge Mount Paran Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Pickens is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
