Basketball Recap: Casey-Westfield Takes a Loss

Casey-Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 37-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 30-27 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Casey-Westfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jayla Roberts posted eight points and three steals. Lucy Moore was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Casey-Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Casey-Westfield has already played their next matchup, a 41-18 victory against Okaw Valley on the 15th. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
