Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Nipomo). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Santa Maria Saints  a   20-0 shutout  on Thursday. The  win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won nine in a row.
 Ava Camacho made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Nipomo let  Alyssa Van Muysen and  Amber Briones run wild. Van Muysen  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with three  runs and three  RBI, while  Briones  went 1-for-2 with four  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  four  runs gave  Briones a new career-high.  Alie Camacho was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.
Nipomo pushed their record up to 13-7 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Maria,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-12.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nipomo will  square off against  rival San Luis Obispo  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Titans 3.2, the Tigers 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Santa Maria is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Morro Bay  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
