Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy vs. St. Andrew's Highlanders
Veritas Academy was the 68-66 winner over St. Andrew when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Veritas Academy took a blow against the St. Andrew's Highlanders on Tuesday, falling 66-37. Veritas Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Despite the loss, Veritas Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Perry Kinane posted 16 points and five steals. Kinane is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. J.P. This is the second loss in a row for Veritas Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for St. Andrew's, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Academy will venture away from home to challenge Brentwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Andrew's, they will head out to face off against Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
