Football Recap: Horizon Skates Past Mcclintock with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horizon). They really took it to the McClintock Chargers for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-3 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-3.

Horizon found their leader in freshman Dylan Brush, who rushed for 117 yards and three scores. Those 117 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Brush. Johnny Issitt was another key player, rushing for 77 yards and one TD.

Horizon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Horizon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of EJ Peeples and Jake Cash. Peeples got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Horizon pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for McClintock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Horizon and McClintock will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Huskies will square off against rival Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. Meanwhile, McClintock is set to challenge their familiar foe Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
