AIMS College Prep hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost seven straight ) but thanks in part to Mohamed Wade that streak is no more. The Golden Eagles blew past the John Henry Wildcats 97-23 on Monday with plenty of help from Wade, who shot 88% from the field on his way to 30 points in addition to six boards and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Abram, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 17 points along with six assists and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 41% three-point shooting accuracy.
AIMS College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for John Henry, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. AIMS College Prep will host Leadership Public Schools Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Marcell Saliba-Coffey and Landon Grisby. As for John Henry, they will welcome Envision Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. John Henry will be up against Envision Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.27 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
