Softball Recap: Crandall Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Crandall had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat the Belton Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. Considering the Pirates have won 15 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Crandall is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Belton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crandall beat the Tigers by a score of 9-2 later that day.
