Basketball Recap: Peru Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Peru extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Reese Duprey. The Peru Nighthawks claimed a resounding 63-21 win over the Northern Adirondack Bobcats thanks to Duprey, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Garrow, who posted five points along with 11 boards and four steals. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Peru's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Northern Adirondack, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Peru will head out to square off against Potsdam at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northern Adirondack does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
