Softball Game Preview: New Fairfield Rebels vs. Bethel Wildcats

The New Fairfield Rebels are taking a road trip to face off against the Bethel Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Newtown hit New Fairfield with a five-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels lost 9-0 to the Nighthawks. The match marked the first time this year in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

New Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Garofola, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Garofola's first of the season.
