Football Game Preview: Ponca Indians vs. Battle Creek Braves

Ponca hasn't had much luck against Battle Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Indians will head out to take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. Ponca has given up an average of 32.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ponca's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against West Point-Beemer on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Cadets.

Meanwhile, Battle Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Norfolk Catholic on Friday and fell 24-22. The Braves have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ponca's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Battle Creek, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Ponca took a serious blow against Battle Creek when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 51-20. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Indians were down 38-0.
