Softball Recap: Contreras Triumphs

Contreras hadn't done well against Roybal recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cobras were the clear victors by a 24-14 margin over the Titans. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cobras considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Isabella Elias was a standout: she fired off three home runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three runs, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Joselyn Carrasco, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Contreras lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Contreras' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Roybal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Contreras is set to challenge their familiar foe Bernstein at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roybal will face off against rival Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
