Mt. Pleasant barely beat Lapeer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Oilers put the hurt on the Lightning with a sharp 12-4 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Oilers in their matchups with the Lightning: they've now won three in a row.

The win got Mt. Pleasant back to even at 3-3. As for Lapeer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will head out on the road to square off against Powers Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lapeer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
