Baseball Recap: UME Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when UME Preparatory Academy took on Rio Vista on Thursday. The UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES fell just short of the Rio Vista Eagles by a score of 9-8. The EAGLES' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Austin Dennis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Andres Carbajal also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

UME Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Rio Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
