Soccer Game Preview: Dover vs. Zanesville

The Dover Crimson Tornadoes will take on the Zanesville Blue Devils in a tournament on Tuesday. Dover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Dover had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Tri-Valley on Tuesday. The Crimson Tornadoes blew past the Scotties 7-1. The result was nothing new for Dover, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Zanesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to West Muskingum.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-2.

Everything went Dover's way against Zanesville in their previous meeting back in September of 2019, as Dover made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Crimson Tornadoes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
