Friday just wasn't the day for Cave Spring's offense. They were beaten by the Patrick Henry Patriots 35-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Patriots are ranked 19th).

Cave Spring dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Patrick Henry, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cave Spring will venture away from home to face off against Hidden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Patrick Henry, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pulaski County at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
