Basketball Recap: Henry-Senachwine Comes Up Short

Henry-Senachwine lost against Dwight back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Henry-Senachwine Mallards fell just short of the Dwight Trojans by a score of 47-45. The Mallards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Henry-Senachwine still got an impressive performance from Kaitlyn Anderson, who went 9 of 16 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. Anderson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brynna Anderson, who posted seven points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Henry-Senachwine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Henry-Senachwine's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Dwight, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henry-Senachwine will venture away from home to square off against Princeville at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dwight, they will head out to face off against Tri-Point at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tri-Point will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Dwight surely won't give up without a fight.
