Basketball Recap: Legacy Prep Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Prep Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Geneva Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 61-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Geneva's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Boles, who posted ten points and eight boards. Carlyle Harden was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Legacy Prep Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Geneva, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Prep Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Village at 5:03 p.m. on the 18th. As for Geneva, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against John Paul II at 6:15 p.m. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
