Recap: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Sandy Creek Patriots
The Pinson Valley Indians were the 76-75 winner over the Sandy Creek Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pinson Valley fell 58-50 to Sandy Creek on Friday.
Pinson Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Coner, who scored 16 points. Camron Frost was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Pinson Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Sandy Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinson Valley will take on Parker at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sandy Creek, they will look to defend their home court on January 6, 2024 against Westlake at 7:30 p.m.
