League recap: Riverside climbs in standings with win

Riverside was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in 4A PAC 6. Earlier in the week, the Pirates triumphed over Perquimans 42-33.

Northern extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Riverside, 37-17. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

East Chapel Hill's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ben Jones has thrown for 1355 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Will Buckley has 28 catches for 453 yards. Colby Owens leads the league in rushing with 348 yards.

A big matchup in 4A PAC 6 this week will be when Northern takes on East Chapel Hill. The Knights are in first place, while the Wildcats are in third place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Northern takes on East Chapel Hill. The Knights have allowed 114 points this season, while Bill Renner's team has given up 112.

Southern led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Jordan.
