Basketball Recap: Rocky Ford Comes Up Short

Rocky Ford lost against Crowley County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rocky Ford Meloneers came up short against the Crowley County Chargers, falling 50-29.

Crowley County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashlyn Berg, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Berg is becoming a predictor of Crowley County's success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 8-1 (and 4-10 when she doesn't). Emalee Ross was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Rocky Ford's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Crowley County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

As of now, neither Rocky Ford nor Crowley County have any future games scheduled.
