Willamette had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the South Eugene Axe 15-5 on Tuesday. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Willamette's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for South Eugene, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Willamette is set to face off against their familiar foe Grants Pass at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, South Eugene will challenge rival South Medford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
