Basketball Recap: The King's Academy Comes Up Short

The King's Academy and Dominion Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but The King's Academy had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 72-71 to Dominion Christian. The King's Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Dominion Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Walker led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Walker a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Parker, who posted 18 points and five boards.

The King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Dominion Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.

The King's Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-54 win against Calvary Christian on the 18th. As for Dominion Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 79-52 defeat against Cristo Rey Atlanta on the 14th.
