Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Find Success

St. Paul proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

St. Paul wouldn't go down easily and took Doniphan-Trumbull into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 19-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Delaney Jennings had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and three assists. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high.

St. Paul is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-14.

Looking ahead, St. Paul will challenge Ord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, after both having extra time off, they and Sandy Creek will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
