Basketball Recap: Dodson Comes Up Short

Dodson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-27 defeat at the hands of the Weston Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Wolves are ranked 132nd).

Dodson's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Weston, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dodson Panthers challenge the Sicily Island Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weston, they will host Simsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Weston's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
