Volleyball Recap: NCSSM: Durham Triumphs + How To Watch

NCSSM: Durham won the last time they faced Franklin Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Unicorns came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Unicorns.

While NCSSM: Durham might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Franklin Academy scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23.

Leira Smith paced NCSSM: Durham's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Anthien Nguyen and her 22 assists. Mariam Hassanen controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Franklin Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie Grace McLaughlin, who had 23 digs and two assists. Carson Turner was another key player, getting six aces and five digs.
