Basketball Game Preview: King Mustangs vs. Corpus Christi Moody Trojans

King is on a six-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Corpus Christi Moody a 15-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The King Mustangs will welcome the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans at 12:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, King opened the new year with a less-than-successful 50-37 defeat to Flour Bluff.

Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Moody played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Alice, falling 69-38. The Trojans were down 50-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Corpus Christi Moody's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

King beat Corpus Christi Moody 68-55 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will King repeat their success, or does Corpus Christi Moody have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
