Softball Recap: Providence Catholic Takes a Loss

Providence Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the St. Anthony Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 on April 9th.

Providence Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-19-1. As for St. Anthony, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Providence Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anthony, they will challenge Saint Mary's Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Barons have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
