Recap: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Southern Valley Eagles
The Arapahoe Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Southern Valley 62-33. Arapahoe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-14.
Arapahoe lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chloe Gooden, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gooden has scored all season. Mckenzie Ewoldt was another key contributor, scoring three points.
Arapahoe struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Southern Valley, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Arapahoe will take on Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cambridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for Southern Valley, they will face off against Bertrand at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bertrand is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
