Mattanawcook strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Central Red Devils a 13-0 shutout. The Lynx might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Mattanawcook got a massive performance out of James Trott, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Trott a new career-high. Owen Harper was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Mattanawcook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mattanawcook's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mattanawcook will welcome Houlton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lynx are facing the Shiretowners at the right time seeing as the Shiretowners are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Central, they will host Penobscot Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Howlers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
