            For the second straight game, California Lutheran will face off against United Christian Academy. The C-Hawks will host the Eagles  at 2:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. California Lutheran has given up an average of 13.4  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for California Lutheran's offense. They came up short against  United Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling  12-0. Having soared to a lofty 17  runs in the game before, the C-Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
For United Christian Academy's part,  Lariah Avila and  Tiffany Sanchez made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound,  Avila   struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Sanchez   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. At bat,  Avila  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI, while  Sanchez  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  United Christian Academy's win was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for California Lutheran, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record  this season.
