Softball Recap: Glenn Has No Trouble Against Lockhart

Glenn was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lockhart on Friday. Glenn put the hurt on Lockhart with a sharp 11-1 win. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Maddy Butler spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Vargas, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Fuego Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Glenn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lockhart only posted an OBP of .250.

Glenn's record now sits at 13-7. As for Lockhart, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
