Basketball Recap: Taholah Triumphs

Taholah won the last time they faced Pe Ell, and Jayden Lewis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Taholah Chitwhins enjoyed a cozy 50-34 victory over the Pe Ell Trojans on Monday thanks in part to Lewis, who posted 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Taholah's points.

When it comes to explaining why Pe Ell lost, don't look at Silas Edgar. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Blake Nelson was another key player, putting up six points and three blocks.

Taholah's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Pe Ell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Taholah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-60 defeat against Wahkiakum on the 19th. Pe Ell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
