Volleyball Recap: Pasadena Starts off Right with Win over Ball

Pasadena gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Ball Tornadoes. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tornadoes, too.

Pasadena walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21.

Alehtse Vela paced Pasadena's offense, picking up 16 kills. Vela got some help from Caryme Molina and her 32 assists. Vela also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jazmyn Flores, racking up four apiece.

Pasadena has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against El Paso on the 14th. As for Ball, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Fort Bend Kempner on the 14th.
