Softball Preview: Donegal Indians vs. Hempfield Black Knights
The Donegal Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Hempfield Black Knights at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Donegal will be strutting in after a victory while Hempfield will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Donegal earned an 11-6 win over Middletown. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.
Meanwhile, Hempfield didn't have quite enough to beat Central York on Monday and fell 9-8. The loss put an end to the Black Knights' undefeated start to the season.
Jenna Ernst was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Khloe Rodriguez was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
