Softball Recap: Rhodes Comes Up Short

Rhodes dropped their record down to 6-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix by a score of 12-11. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Phoenix apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

For Andrews Osborne Academy's part, Alle Royer was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Anastasia Belkin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rhodes will challenge Glenville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they will head out to challenge Hawken at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
